Well it is all created by a guy called Rob Poulos and it is 158 pages of inside info on how to raise your metbolic rate or should I say your resting metabolic rate. WARNING: If another site claims to be giving you his diet secrets, get outta there quick – it wont be the real diet and it simply isn’t going to work like the fat burning furnace. I have even seen some diets online that would cause you to bulk up!

What I can tell you is the foods you must eat are very nutritious and he gives you great recipes, meal plans, planners and even cool online tools such as a body fat analyzer. This gives you another way to track weight loss apart from weighing yourself on the good old bathroom scales.

Fad Diets:

How Does The Diet Solution Program Work?

If you’re looking into that popular question how does the diet solution program work, then hopefully you have come to the right place. Now obviously I don’t want to give away everything that is in this particular diet otherwise the creator Isabel De Los Rios, isn’t going to be very happy with me.

However I will give a brief overview of how this works.

Firstly I do have to say that this looks like a very comprehensive programme and best of all it really teaches you how to make a lifestyle change. This is absolutely imperative as it results in long term and permanent weight loss, not just a quick calorie burning three weeks where you end up piling on more weight than when you started!

Firstly the main guide is around 95 pages long, so it’s very thorough. In the beginning the author talks about what foods you should be eating and why. She also explains about the different food groups such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats and how our individual metabolism is absolutely vital when it comes to weight loss.

You see people with one type of metabolism will suit a low carb diet, whereas people with a different type of metabolism will suit a low-fat diet. This is the point where they get you to complete a questionnaire, it helps to determine your metabolism, and therefore it leads you towards the types of food you should be eating.

The program then takes you through how many calories you should be eating, what you should be eating and how to allocate the different food groups in each serving. The good news is they do recommend three meals per day allow snacks in between each meal, so you’re not going to be starving!

The second half of this manual goes through things like organic food, soy, grains, salt, water, alcohol etc. Some really informative information here!

After you have read this guide, there are some journals to keep you on the road to success, 20 day meal plans for each body and metabolism type, and a good range of recipes and even a shopping guide to keep you on track with the foods you should and shouldn’t be eating.

If you take on board the entire diet solution program, you will make an absolutely fantastic and positive lifestyle change. This program does work and it’s certainly going to result in some fantastic weight loss if you stick to it and follow exactly what you taught.

My advice is to get on board and get off those excess calories.

Does P90X Really Work For Women

No before I go any further I feel it is important to mention that neither myself nor my wife have ever used P90X, but so many people have emailed me asking ‘does P90X really work for women’? So I have really had to do my research on this before I updated this site.

Now overall the results for women seem to be fantasic although some of the reviews into womens results are so complicated and long winded that they argue and never come out with a definitive answer.

So here are my findings in a much less complicated answer:

P90X was designerd for men and women looking to rip down their frame and build some ultra toned muscle. So it seems that if thats what you are going for then this is the results you will get. Will you lose weight? Absolutely. Will you bild a slim feminine figure? Absolutely. Dont worry about building bulky masculine muscle – you wont, as a lot of the exercises use body weight and as women dont have the same testosterone levels as guys, so your muscles wont go through any rapid size building or growth. They will become really toned though which is great.

Now lets imagine you are overweight by 40 lbs. From the research I have done it seems that p90X wont really be for you. You see the diet that accompanies the workout will probably have too many calories for you to drop that much weight. Dont forget that this program keeps the calories at a moderate level so you can do the tough exercise routines and have enough fuel in your body to build lean muscle.

If you want to drop 40lbs then its going to require a different diet and probably a different workout plan.

What About The Exercises?

Some women worry about the actual exercises and if they can only be done by men. Well yes there are lots of chin-ups and push-ups which can be harder for the ladies as they often dont have the same upper-body strength as the guys. But dont worry…….there are lots of alternatives included in this program including options for the use of exercises bands or using a chair or the like to take some of your bodyeight during a set of pull-ups.

I think as far as the actual routines go – they are great for women.

Finally.

If you want to get lean, toned muscles, then this is a great program. If you only want to lose a lot of weight, then maybe look at something else.

  • There’s also a great cardio manual to help you completely burn the calories off. This is 12 weeks long and it gets progressively more powerful. So its really comprehensive and good value for money. Some advanced concepts too like: VO2 Max Cardio and Pyramid Intervals – dnt worry if you dont know what these are, the manual explains everything.
  • Next up there’s an exercise demonstration manual, which consists of an enormous amount of photos, demos and explanations of all the exercises.
  • Finally there are even some printable workout charts where each workout routine has its own page, so its easy to locate, print out and take to the gym with you. Eventually you will memorize the workout but this will help lots in the early stages.
